Alcohol and dehydration
Alcohol inhibits the release of anti-diuretic hormone. This leads to dehydration.
Mix drinks with seltzer or ice.
Limit darker alcoholic beverages, these are normally higher in alcohol content.
Hydrate between drinks. Electrolyte fortified water is better than plain water.
Consume foods rich in potassium, sodium, magnesium and chloride.
Signs of dehydration: headache, dizziness, shakiness and rapid heart beat.
