Alcohol is a neurocardiac toxin. It impacts heart health. Over time it can lead to heart failure, heart attacks, and heart disease. Regular drinking can result in high blood pressure, this over time increases the risk of heart disease. 

Benefits of a month of no alcohol

You will notice better skin health, more energy, better sleep quality,  better blood pressure control many experience weight loss. Your liver will be less inflamed. Mentally you will likely be less anxious.

Watch for symptoms of withdrawal. Withdrawal are symptoms if you stops or reduce alcohol after long term or heavy use. Symptoms of withdrawal include abdominal cramping, nausea, shaking, vomiting. Always seek medical help if needed.

Staying “dry” for longer than a month has major long term benefits. This will reduce your risk of high blood pressures, strokes, depression, certain types of cancer, liver disease and alcohol related health issues. If you can, try it for longer than a month.
