Migraines.
Migraines can be worse in the winter for many reasons. Cold, low humidity together with fluctuations in temperature and air pressure can trigger migraines. Less sunlight and shorter days can disrupt sleep patterns and hormone regulation. Dehydration from “cold diuresis,” low humidity, indoor heating or high-altitude environments can precipitate a migraine attack.
There is also a link between thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2) magnesium deficiency and headaches. Alcohol intake, certain gastrointestinal conditions, diabetes and certain medications can contribute and enhance deficiencies in B1, B2 and magnesium. Supplementing with vitamins B1, B2 and magnesium has been shown to help with reducing the frequency and severity of migraine attacks.
Magnesium glycinate is one of the best forms of magnesium, it contains the amino acid glycine. This helps with sleep, anxiety, depression, headaches and migraines.
1 scoop of Dr Raindrop Rain Hydration contains 175 mg of magnesium in glycinate and malate forms. Remember to also hydrate and seek medical attention is migraines are worse in severity or nor improving.
